Jason Robins, Co-Founder and CEO of DraftKings said, “DraftKings will bring a totally new experience for sports fans, offering players the opportunity to test their skill at fantasy contests with the immediacy of daily play. Alongside our new partners Arsenal, Liverpool and Watford, our ambition is to bring players as close to the action as possible, with all the information they need to assemble the best teams.”

As part of the UK expansion, DraftKings have established an office in central London, led by Chief International Officer Jeffrey Haas. Mr. Haas, said: “There is a massive appetite for daily fantasy sports in the UK. They are a nation of avid and knowledgeable sports fans with a well-established network of players. Daily fantasy sports is an evolution of the much loved season-long tournaments for a time-constrained generation that want instant bragging rights. Quick, fun and skilled, it adds another layer of entertainment to the matchday ritual.”
How to Play
Players choose a contest to enter and then make their team selection. They are then provided with salary valuations based on unique performance data, with values increasing and decreasing depending on an individual’s form and opposition faced.
Points are awarded based on the individual performance of each player in a lineup. Players can use the statistical depth of the product to win contests and accrue prizes. Knowing the wingers who pepper the box with crosses and the goalies that pick up wins every single week will be the difference between winning and losing.
Beginners can play against other newbies in up to 50 contests for each sport, making sure that they can build up their skills before entering larger contests for bigger prizes. Skills can be further honed by creating bespoke contests, accessed by just you and your chosen group of friends. DraftKings have also added a unique feature to their second screen experience with ‘Starting Line-up Indicators’ that show whether a player has been selected to start a specific match – crucial information when picking your squad.
