Per The Athletic, Newcastle are interested in signing Sesko in the event that Isak leaves the club. The Sweden international has asked the Magpies to allow him to explore a move away from St James' Park, but he would cost a huge fee, and any deal for the RB Leipzig striker would be equally challenging financially for any suitor, Newcastle included.

Sesko is understood to have a gentleman's agreement with Leipzig that will see him allowed to leave for the right project, but it is unclear how much he would cost; his deal runs until 2029.
