da bet vitoria: When N’Golo Kante was ruled out for Leicester’s game against West Bromwich Albion last week, you could forgive many a Foxes fan for being slightly worried.
da marjack bet: The French international has been absolutely pivotal for Leicester and has been a bit of a revolution for the Foxes since his summer move. But an injury preventing him from making the game and the reigns were passed to Andy King, who has had to settle for a part-bit role in the side this season.
But despite only making 25 appearances this season, most from the bench, players like Andy King have been absolutely pivotal to Leicester’s promotion push, contrary to what some people may think.
Despite only picking up a point against West Brom, King stepped in and performed extremely well – keeping the midfield sturdy and even chipping in with a goal as well.
And his manager has also been impressed with the performances of King, who has been a great help to the Foxes for a few years now.
“Every time I put King in the squad he is excellent and I’m very confident with him – he has another style of football and he has to do his job, not Kante’s job,” Ranieri said.
“I’m very confident because we play with King and King plays very well with Drinkwater.”
Despite Kante being a massive boost to Leicester’s side when he is fit, King definitely gave the Foxes an attacking edge for the game against the Baggies – something Kante doesn’t offer in abundance.
King’s good performances highlights the depth the Foxes have in their squad. To be able to bring on such quality players for big, high-pressure games is invaluable and will continue to help the Foxes as they race towards the finish line.
King is also Leicester through and through. Its the only club he has played for in the whole of his career and he has been through relegation after relegation with the Foxes, so if there is anyone at the King Power Stadium that will understand the chance the club have been presented with it will be him.
It takes extremely loyal club stalwarts to settle for a place on the bench during a potential title-winning season, especially when it is the only club you have played at for the whole of your career. But its a type of affinity that helps during any silverware-chasing campaign.
To have someone that knows the club inside out and who understands every feeling the supporters are going through is a massive help in the dressing room. Despite the supporters and the Leicester players constantly suggesting that they’re not under pressure, they somewhat are now.
They’re back in the hotseat as Premier League title favourites and with that crown comes a certain level of pressure. But any sort of top-four finish for the Foxes will be seen as a success and the league is theirs to lose.
Players like Andy King have helped them tremendously.
