da stake casino: Paul Pogba’s £89m return from Juventus to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 remains the club’s record transfer, but the Frenchman has failed to live up to expectations in a United shirt despite the obviously huge talent that he possesses.
da apostebet: The 25-year-old central midfielder’s recent performance for France in their UEFA Nations League opener against the Netherlands further highlighted just how good he can be, and why he needs to be selfish and leave United for his own development.
Pogba and United manager Jose Mourinho were involved in a long-running public spat over the summer and the 6ft 3in midfielder was linked with a move to Barcelona, which could be the perfect decision for his career.
So far this season for his club, Pogba has netted two goals in the first four games but both have come from the penalty spot and his performances this season and at the end of the last campaign have been called into question by Mourinho.
For France though, Pogba has been flying. His goal and performance in the World Cup Final against Croatia summed up his whole tournament, where he was the driving force from midfield as N’Golo Kante offered the protection that allowed Pogba to play his natural game, something that is restricted under Mourinho at Old Trafford as defensive work often comes first in the Portuguese manager’s systems.
The 2-1 win over the Netherlands was France’s first game since their World Cup triumph and Pogba was straight back to his best. With 115 touches he saw more of the ball than any other player on the pitch and his passing, which has often been criticised at United for being lazy, was generally pinpoint with 91 per cent of his 102 passes completed, three of which were key to attacking moves.
With two clearances and two aerial duels won, Pogba used his size and strength to dominate the Netherlands midfield as he has done so often for France but too rarely for United. Barcelona would clearly have to pay big money for his signature but if the Catalan club do come in with a formal offer either in January or next summer then the French international must push for the move.
