da betano casino: Things look like they are finally falling into place at Goodison Park for Ronald Koeman and Everton.
da winzada777: After a difficult start to the season, in which the Toffees struggled to put together any sort of form, they currently find themselves in a more familiar position of 7th place and very much back in the race for European football.
While a top four finish seems beyond their reach, fifth is still a realistic prospect and would be a fine achievement given the amount of changes at Goodison over the summer.
Ronald Koeman will know, however, in order to make that dream a reality, his side will need to kick on from their recent run of good form – which included a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester City – and maintain their current momentum.
Having lost Yannick Bolasie through injury and Gerard Deulofeu to AC Milan on loan, January is a key period for the club to invest wisely. Here are three last-minute deals we think Everton should consider…
Ever Banega
Having recruited Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United as a reinforcement in defensive midfield, the Toffees now need to look at more attacking options. Ross Barkley, while undoubtedly talented, has not always been up to the task this season and needs to be challenged for his place.
Signed by Inter Milan during the summer after impressing for Argentina during the Copa America, Ever Banega has continued his fine form into Serie A this season. However, things change fast at the San Siro and The Sun claimed last month that Inter were already looking to sell Banega – with Everton mooted as potential buyers.
Branislav Ivanovic
With Phil Jagielka tipped to leave Goodison, Ronald Koeman will know he needs to find a replacement centre-half this January. Serbian Branislav Ivanovic is struggling for playing time at Chelsea, not fitting into Antonio Conte’s new 3-4-3 formation, and could be a steal for the Toffees if they can promise him first team action.
While he has been a right-back for most of his Chelsea career, the Serb can also operate at centre-half and is more than able to fill Jagielka’s void in terms of leadership and experience.
M’Baye Niang
As previously mentioned, summer signing Yannick Bolasie remains injured for a substantial period of time. Gerard Deulofeu has also been loaned out to Serie A side AC Milan, leaving Everton with few options out wide.
Milan’s pacy Frenchman M’Baye Niang could prove the perfect swap for the club given that Deulofeu has gone in the opposite direction and is set to compete for Niang’s place at the San Siro. Coach Vincenzo Montella has ‘lost patience’ with the forward and recently hinted at a possible departure.
