da 888casino: According to Sky Sports News, West Ham United are interested in signing Besiktas defender Gary Medel, and club officials are due to travel to Turkey this week.
Medel has previous experience of operating in the Premier League, having turned out for Cardiff City during the 2013-14 campaign.
Cardiff actually paid a club-record £11m to sign him from Sevilla, but then sold the Chile international to Inter Milan the following year following their relegation to the Championship.
The 31-year-old is a 114-time Chile international, and has also turned out for Boca Juniors during a well-travelled career.
Medel – valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt – has been with Besiktas since August 2017, penning a three-year contract with the club.
However, according to Sky Sports News, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to bring the versatile South American back to England.
The news has not been well received by the West Ham fans, however, with many against the move.
